Chinese
music is sometimes described as the final frontier of World Music.
No new artist typifies the new cutting edge of 21st century Chinese
music better than Mongolian born singer-songwriter Sa Ding Ding. Selling
millions in Southeast Asia, Sa Ding Ding is now being brought to light
with her first Western release on U.K. based Wrasse Records. Her 2008
CD, Alive combines the rhythms of different Asian regions,
including Tibet and Mongolia, with an added accent on Western electronic
music and even classical and soul music. On the 2008 CD release of
Alive, Wrasse Records pulls out all the stops, packaging the ten
track CD with an eye-catching CD booklet filled with intriguing artwork.
