The Stone Roses

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the 1989 Stone Roses debut album, Legacy released a detailed Legacy Edition of the Stone Roses album. Neatly slipcased with 2 CDs and 1 DVD, Legacy’s Stone Roses reissue features the original album newly remastered along with another CD called The Lost Demos, featuring unreleased material. The set also comes with a DVD with a legendary August 1989 concert plus six additional video clips. Featuring the vocals and music of front man Ian Brown and guitarist John Squire, the group’s kinder, gentler form of Brit-pop might have gone overlooked by some back in 1989 but its worth revisiting now. Another selling point of Legacy’s pop classic is a 28 page booklet detailing comments by Brown and producer John Leckie along with rare photos of the band. A precursor to ‘90s bands like Oasis? Possibly one of the great U.K. rock albums since Revolver? Give the Stone Roses a listen and find out why their story continues.
