(Unicorn Digital)

For fans of prog-rock, symphonic rock and French rock, Montreal-based Unicorn Records has a slate of early 2009 CD releases that’ll knock you out. High on the list is the fifth CD from instrumental rockers Spaced Out. Entitled Evolution, the 2009 CD features the band’s daredevil approach to modern fusion. Featuring his impeccable performance on electric guitar and bass, Antoine Fafard has written some incredible new music for his band, including Mark Trembly (guitar) and Martin Maheux (drums). With keyboards handled by Alex Argento and Eric St-Jean, the sound on Evolution is truly spaced out. Spaced Out makes instrumental jazz/rock that is often overwhelming, yet always sonically electrifying.
